Since
the DMFC was started many years ago - we have grown from being a simple
"fan club" to just what the name says, "FAN CENTER".
Not only do we publish a "magazine"
style newsletter filled with stories, photos, information, with past and
up-to-date current happenings...
We also offer an assortment of Dean's
videos, CD's, posters...
We are proud to be a member of the
"National Association of Fan Clubs" (NAFC), and honored to have
been awarded the Hollywood Archive Institutes' "Legendary Achievement
Award" for the enrichment and education of a Hollywood Legend... Dean
Martin.
We are equally honored to be recognized
with "The Golden Foundation Award" for integrity and commendability
on behalf of our lasting efforts from RIMA (The Recording Industries' Members
Association).
The Dean Martin Fan Center is also
a registered member of the IFCO (International Fan Club Organization) Nashville,
Tennessee.
We are also very proud of our association
with Dean's hometown of Steubenville, Ohio, and our involvement with the
"Dean Martin Committee" with their year round efforts to provide
scholarship funds and the work they do for
multiple charities, all in the name of Dean Martin.
In June of 1996, the DMFC was presented
with a proclamation from U.S. Congressman Robert W. Ney, on behalf of Dean
Martin's memory. During the Memorial, the key to the city was
also bestowed upon our DMFC president, Neil T Daniels.
Our Dean Martin Fan Center founder
and president has also been closely associated with Dean Martin since his
years on the "Dean Martin Television Show", also having assisted
in numerous television specials and documentaries, profiles and written
books, including radio and television interviews. He is also proud of his
association with the Bear Family Record company as producer of the extraordinary
Dean Martin cd box sets and books covering the entire legacy of recordings
that Dean has left us.
