FROM HERE, IN BETWEEN APPEARANCE
ON OTHER VARIETY SHOWS, DEAN AND JERRY LANDED THEIR OWN TV SHOW, "THE
COLGATE COMEDY HOUR" WHICH ALLOWED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THE CHANCE TO
SEE THEM SINGING AND DOING THEIR ROUTINES.
AFTER THE BREAK-UP IN 1956, DEAN
SPENT EVEN MORE TIME ON THE TUBE. HE WAS OFTEN INVITED TO GUEST ON MANY
SHOWS... NOT JUST VARIETY, BUT DRAMAS AS WELL. "RAWHIDE" AND "CHARLEY'S
ANGELS" WERE SOME EXAMPLES... BUT THE BEST SPECIALS, WERE THE "LIVE"
VARIETY ONES... THE "SOUPY SALES" OR "TONIGHT SHOWS". |
